Sundays at my home are for hanging with family and my kiddos, and we sat down together this past one to check out the THE CASAGRANDES: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON now out on DVD!
I asked all three of my children what they thought about the episodes we have watched so far and they said that they thought they were funny. My daughter really liked the antics of the main character Ronnie Anne and her best friend Sid and that “Aunt” Tia Frita is an artist like Frida Kahlo.
As a parent, I like that the series teaches lessons in the episodes (examples: telling the truth and taking responsibility for ones actions) and that it shows the love of a large family as well as shares Hispanic Culture and the Spanish language.

Ronnie Anne is an independent, skateboard loving 11-year-old who moved to the big city with her mom and brother to live with their extended family, the Casagrandes.
Her new life promises to be an adventure, now that she’s living under one roof with her grandparents, aunt, uncle, cousins, and a sass-talking parrot. As if that weren’t enough excitement, her bedroom is directly below the bedroom of her best friend, Sid.
