A special thank you goes out to Warner Bros for providing my family with a Digital Code for Family Matters: Season 1, the Virtual Talent Show idea and for sponsoring our camp this summer. Opinions expressed are that of my own.

As we enter the last week of Camp Warner Bros as well as the last week of summer vacation for many families, often times a fun way to wrap up the festivities from the past couple of months is with a Talent Show.
Obviously our kid’s camp was socially distanced, so showing off ones abilities this year might be a little more challenging. However with technology on our side we could always host a Virtual Talent Show.
Now if you are wanting a reason to be silly, why not grab your cameras and record the family in 90’s Attire doing the Urkel inspired by Family Matters: The Complete Series. You can then upload to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the Hashtag #CampWarnerBros.
If you are looking to host a more traditional Talent Show with acts like ballet, juggling, or singing, consider these ideas:
Zoom –
Create a Virtual Talent Show on Zoom with family and friends. Have each child perform whatever their talent is. You can also make up snacks like this Puppy Chow Recipe to eat while you enjoy the show.

Facebook Group –
Have each performer record their act and have an adult review and then upload the video to a private group on Facebook. Then, invite family and friends to watch.
Compile Videos –
Have all the performers record videos and email to the event coordinator. That person would also have permission to compile all of the videos to be uploaded to an unlisted Youtube video or library or to a Facebook page for all participants to see.

About Family Matters: The Complete Series
What matters most? Family, of course! Over its nine hit seasons, Family Matters brings us a hilarious slice of middle-class Americana – along with one of TV’s wackiest characters, nerdy genius Steve Urkel.
The extended Winslow family redefines the word “togetherness” as their home splits at the seams with chaos, confusion and laughter.

At the end of the school year, my son’s piano teacher did Virtual Talent Show on Youtube with an index of individual videos and it worked out great!
Have you ever watched Family Matters? Do you have a favorite character on the show and if so, who is it?
I hope these virtual talent show ideas as well as the activities, crafts, and recipes shared during Camp Warner Bros has brought togetherness to your family throughout this summer.
