A special thank you goes out to Warner Bros for providing my family with a Digital Code for We Bare Bears: The Movie. Opinions expressed are that of my own and check out our Gummy Bear Buildings With Toothpicks!

We are now in week 3 of Camp Warner Bros and this week’s activities are STEM related with Gummy Bear Slime and Gummy Bear Buildings With Toothpicks inspired by We Bare Bears.

Gummy Bear Buildings With Toothpicks!

Just in case you didn’t hear the news, We Bare Bears: The Movie is available to own on Digital, Blu-ray & DVD!

Not only is this film a great way to keep kids entertained indoors while you social distance, but it also has a great message about friendship and accepting other’s differences.

In addition, it shows how the 3 bears first met and introduces lots of funny animal influencers (AKA Vloggers and MEMES Dramatic Cow was probably my favorite), as well as shows how the bond between friends overcomes a villainous Wildlife Control Agent.

After watching the film, you can then keep the fun going with an Adult Supervised Slime Activity.

We have actually made this recipe before and to see what it looks like check out our version of Gummy Bear Slime.

Once you have made the slime, grab the leftover bears and have your kids try their hands at being building engineers with toothpicks.

The main goal of the Gummy Bear Buildings With Toothpicks is to see if the structure can stay up.

FYI, since the toothpicks are pointy I would recommend adult supervision for younger children.

I let my children try out different shapes and we also discussed which structures held up the best.

Need ideas on how to get started with Gummy Bear Buildings With Toothpicks?

Gummy Bear Buildings With Toothpicks!

First, I suggest starting with a square base. It seemed to be the strongest structure.

Second, try assembling each section separately and then attach items like walls and a roof.

Next, learn from our error and use a plate versus paper towels. We found the gummies got stuck easier to the paper.

Finally, make sure to push the toothpicks into the gummy bears to secure the pieces. You may need to move the toothpicks to better balance your structure.

About We Bare Bears: The Movie:

We Bare Bears: The Movie follows Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear’s love of food trucks and Internet fame, which leads the brothers to unexpected mayhem, where they must go on a wild, hilarious and dangerous adventure to escape a foe that threatens to tear them apart.

Watch as Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear catch the attention of the Department of Wildlife Control, and go on a wacky adventure as their world turns upside down, and the Bears are left with no choice but to go on the run!
