A special thank you goes out to Warner Bros for providing my family with a Digital Code for Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans and for sponsoring our camp along with sending instructions for this Mason Jar Piggy Bank Craft. Opinions expressed are that of my own.

My kiddos have been huge fans of Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans GO! for a while now (Mom also enjoys the humor and DC Superheroes).
When we were sent a Digital Code to check out Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans for week 5 of Camp Warner Bros, we were looking forward to watching.

What we also looked forward to was putting together a Mason Jar Piggy Bank Craft inspired by the movie characters.
Now before we dive into how we actually put together this camp activity together, I wanted to first share details about the movie.

About Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans:
In Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, the comedic modern-day quintet takes on their 2003 counterparts when villains from each of their worlds join forces to pit the two Titan teams against each other.

They’ll need to set aside their differences and work together to combat Trigon, Hexagon, Santa Claus (that’s right, Santa!) and time itself in order to save the universe.
There is no rating for this film and just like the regular series, the story and goofy humor is geared towards older children and teens. Some of the content goes over my 8 year olds head, but not for my 11 year old and teen.

I have to say that the kids and I both enjoyed seeing all of the different versions of the Teen Titans in the multiverse.

So now that you know about the film, I am excited to share the details on how we put together the Mason Jar Piggy Bank Craft!
Directions and adjustments we made are below, adult supervision is necessary.
Before you get started, be sure to print out the Printable Directions and Characters for the Mason Jar Piggy Bank Inspired by Teen Titans Go!
You will need these in order to pick out your special character for your Piggy Bank. You can choose from 2 different versions of Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, and Beast boy.

Couple notes: One thing that we did a little different for this activity is we upcycled Spaghetti Jars. You obviously could purchase Mason Jars, but these worked out pretty well.
In addition, I used a flat head screw driver to make a coin slot on the metal lid. I simply laid it down on the ground and hammered the top of the screwdriver in a line big enough to fit a quarter through.

Now as an alternative to spray paint we used a combination on Modge Podge and Acrylic Paint. I happen to already have a full container of Orange Paint on hand.
First, we painted the jar with Modge Podge and allowed it to dry. This allowed the acrylic paint to adhere better to the glass.

Then we painted the jar and finished the craft according to the rest of the directions in the above graphic.
