Do you also like to decorate your front door for special holidays as well as for the seasons?
I really enjoy crafting wreaths for my home and have created a Pinwheel Wreath for Patriotic Holidays as well as an Easter Egg Wreath for spring.

Well now that warm weather is here in Florida, I was looking for a new theme.
After a visit to The Dollar Tree, I was inspired to put together a Sun Wreath Craft for Summer! I even made one for friend.

FYI, they have adorable felt decor mats in the summer section in different shapes including a sun with glitter that fits perfectly over a foam wreath.
Did I also mention the adorable flip flop designs?

If you would like to recreate this Sun Wreath, you will need the following.
Sun Felt Mat or Yellow Foam Cut into a Sun Shape
Sunglassess
Child’s Flip Flops (Size 12/13 work well)
Glue Gun
Scissors

Directions:
First heat up the glue gun. Then fold the sun 1/3 of the way and lay the open sunglasses on top.

Next take the scissors and cut 2 small holes where the ends of the sunglasses line up.

Then, put the arms of the sunglasses through the holes and close.
Next up, add a line of glue along the top the wreath foam and lay the sun shape on top gently pressing down.

To finish, glue the flip flops to the desired position on the sun. Don’t be afraid to be generous with the glue to ensure it is attached and allow it to set. Tip: You will also need an over the door hanger for this wreath.
As you can see, this Sun Wreath Craft for Summer turned out so cute and it cost me around $4.

I am super excited about the result and I hope you have fun making this wreath as well.
