A special thank you goes out to Walt Disney World Resort for providing my family complimentary access to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Opinions expressed are that of my own.

When I was little, I was always told that Epcot was for Adults and Teens and I would be bored if I went.
Well based on my recent experience at the 2019 International Flower and Garden Festival, I can say that at no point was my 10 year old looking for something to do or complaining of boredom.

In fact she had an absolute blast and is looking forward to attending this event next year.

So what made this so much fun for her? Check out these Activities for Kids at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
Spikes Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt:
For $6.99 plus tax your family can purchase a fun scavenger hunt that takes you on a garden adventure around World Showcase. Of course the bonus is, once the hunt is complete you can collect a prize (details on the sheet).

This was a neat way to explore the gardens and it kept my daughter engaged and on the move.
Even if you skip the scavenger hunt, be sure to pick up a Passport for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival for a self guided tour with fun stamps.

Put Them In Charge of Topiary Photos:
I have found that if I put my children in charge of the pictures, they appreciate the responsibility and search out cool photo opportunities. Plus, it is neat to see the park through their eyes and what interests them.

My daughter was up to the task and I must admit that I am impressed with the photos she took.

Playground Time:
We not only checked out the Bo Peep and her sheep topiary located at Peep’s Playtime Training Grounds presented by Toy Story 4, but my daughter took the time to tryout the playground equipment.

This also gave her Dad and me a chance to sit and relax for a few minutes.

Goodness Garden Butterfly House presented by GoGo squeeZ:
Looking to get up close to butterflies? How about having one land on you?, Well you can do this as well as learn interesting details about these beautiful creatures at the Goodness Garden Butterfly House presented by GoGo squeeZ.
Featuring 1,000 native butterflies among the garden’s two dozen nectar plants, it really is a gorgeous sight. We got a neat video of the butterflies in flight, watch the following to see it!
Pin Trading:
We not only took a look at a cast members collection at a Pin Kiosk , but there was a little boy and his Mom that made a trade with my daughter.
Of course there is never a guarantee for a trade, but it is fun looking for an opportunity. (Of course a parent should always be present).

Character Photos:
As your family walks around, you will notice various characters throughout the park ready for a photo opp. We found that the wait wasn’t very long, and she was able to get a picture with Aurora.
Remember to bring your autograph book as well!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, RIDES AT EPCOT:
To mix up our day, we added in time to visit the rides. Not only did we start off the day at Space Ship Earth but we also rode Frozen Ever After, Test Track, Soarin, and ended our day with The Seas with Nemo and Friends.
Tip: Be sure to set up us fast passes in advance to make wait time easier.
