Have you ever had someone compliment you on a pair of shoes, a new purse, or even a flattering top? Well be prepared because once you add a JORD wood watch to your wardrobe, people are sure to notice.
When you wear a Watch Made from Wood, you can’t help in wanting to also show it off. Especially when you realize all of the craftsmanship that goes into this type of time piece.
So what exactly are the reasons why I love wearing a JORD?
1. The Presentation of the Wooden Watch-
Receiving a JORD is like many gifts in one. Not only does it come with a pillow to secure the watch in a beautifully crafted box, but it contains Preserve Cleaning Oil, a gray microfiber cloth is for applying the oil and cleaning the wood every 6 months, and a black cloth for cleaning the crystal face!
Plus, I have to mention that there are magnets used to keep the lid of the box in place as well as surprise wood carving details inside. (You will have to peek inside a box to appreciate the details I am taking about.)
2. The details of the face
For my review, I selected a wooden watch from the Cora Series and I picked out a JORD with a turquoise face. Not only does this color really pop from my wrist, but I can also see the inner workings of the time piece through a small window. To top everything off, the face is protected by Sapphire glass.
According to the website, Sapphire glass is mechanically only second to diamonds as the hardest and most scratch resistant materials on earth. It ranks a 9 on the MOHS Hardness Scale and is a synthetic crystal (aluminum oxide Al2O3) rather than actual glass that is colorless and optically clear.
3. The Wood Selected for the Cora Series

For the Cora series, Zebrawood which is native to West Africa was paired with Turquoise and Rose to create a striking grain contrast with beautiful tone variations. It is also considered to be a luxury hardwood and is most commonly used in veneer application. Koa wood is also an option in this Unique Women’s Watch series with a Rose Gold Face.

4. The Movements
To my delight my JORD includes a SEA-GULL ST6103K Self-Winding Automatic Mechanical interior. When I flip the watch over I can actually get a full view of the gorgeous inner workings in action, it is like watching a heart beat. I actually love the process of setting my watch because it reminds me of a simpler time of when this was the standard and it makes me take a moment to appreciate the details.
However if you prefer the convenience of a battery, there are definitely option as well because not only does JORD use their own components, they also utilize dependable brands in their pieces like Seiko and Citizen for their movements.
5. The Little Things
Whether the swarovski crystal markers, a deployment buckle with push button, or hand finished Zebrawood, it is the little things that set my Unique Women’s Watch apart from others.
