This was actually great timing, since I had been contemplating getting my 9 year old son his own device. Our family has been sharing a tablet between the 5 of us and of course my 2 older kiddos wanted to use it at the same time. He definitely was in need of one that would primarily be used for his gaming apps.
Now that we have been using this second tablet, I not only cleaned up our old one and made it user friendly for my daughter, but I also customized the ASUS MeMo Pad 7 for my son, whereby eliminating future arguments on whose turn it is.
Since my son and I have had time to experiment with this device, here are 7 Reasons Why The ASUS MeMo Pad 7 Is Great For My Family!
1. Easy Setup – I am a BUSY MOM who needs to multitask and this setup did not slow me down. I was able to charge, turn on, and connect to WIFI without any issue.
2. Runs consistently and keeps its charge when adding and using applications – My oldest and I sat and picked out the games and apps that he would like to have. We put on a metronome for piano practice, and then added Madden Mobile, Skater Boy, Extreme Car Simulator, Angry Birds, and more. At no point in time did we have a lapse in operation. In addition, he has not had to stop during his allotted screen time to recharge.
3. Nice graphics – My son has been enjoying games and watching videos on the ASUS MeMo Pad 7. The screen is a perfect size for kids, and it is clear and easy to view.
4. Great outdoor photos – I took a beautiful photo of flowers in my yard with just the auto setting and so far have caught some nice photos of the kids. In my opinion, this device works best in better lighting, however I am still playing around with the settings to optimize it for different views. There is panorama, depth of field, and a time rewind function available as well. The same goes for video, however realistically I would not be using that function as often.
5. Excellent sound quality – My kiddos have been dancing to music and my son has been listening to Football Recaps on the ASUS MeMo Pad 7. We even took it outside while they played in the front yard and driveway.
6. Simple to clean – With kids there are going to be lots of fingerprints, however it is so easy to wipe this screen clean. 
7. Fun photo options – Back to the camera, this really came in handy when we got caught in the rain in my vehicle last week. My kiddos love taking selfies and both my 6 and 9 year old enjoyed changing their photo with ease to Snow, Grayscale, Sepia, and more. I was happy to hear laughing and seeing plenty of smiles.
