Tropical Chocolate Trail Mix Recipe

It is no joke, “You’re not you when you’re hungry“!  I can speak from personal experience that when I am running errands, finishing up housework, and then heading up to school to get the kids that sometimes I feel my energy being depleted.

Having a little snack on hand can definitely be the difference between a grouchy Mom struggling to get through the afternoon, versus an upbeat and HAPPY MOM.

Snickers Peanut Butter and Almond at Dollar General

Of course it is important to have affordable snacks that are easy to fit in my purse, so this past week I paid a visit to my local Dollar General to pick up 2 varieties of SNICKERS® bars.

These packages included Peanut Butter squares, and SNICKERS® Almond, and were located right in the candy aisle near the grocery section of the store.

Snickers Almond and Peanut Butter Squares

The next day, I put my Peanut Butter Squares to use when my son and I were heading out for bowling night. In addition, I snacked on the SNICKERS® Almond variety while driving over to a family reunion.

I also got creative with my bars, and if you like sweet and salty snacks here is a fun tropical inspired recipe made with SNICKERS®.

Tropical Trail mix Ingredients

This is such a fun idea! Our whole family love snickers - but I never thought to cut it up and use it in a trail mix. Thanks for the idea! We will need this for all of our road trips and camping this year.

Snickers used to be my go-to food in the middle of the afternoon. Oh how I loved it. ...And your recipe looks so good. I always eat something before I go to the grocery store, if not, I'd come home with every thing on the shelves!!
