Manwich Sloppy Joe Meal

Let’s face it, Mondays can be pretty hectic.  Between getting back into the routine of work, school, homework or even practice, this day can be quite the challenge.

Dinner time doesn’t have to be that way though, especially if you create an easy meal with Manwich Sloppy Joes, Fries, and a Cole Slaw Recipe.

Manwich Sloppy Joe Varieties

Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce is available in 3 Flavors including Original, Thick & Chunky, and Bold. These canned products are meat free and are prepared in 3 simple steps.

This easy dinner solution works out great on Monday Night since hubby runs in after work to watch the boys, and I run out with my daughter to ballet practice.

3 Steps to make Manwich Sloppy Joe

To get dinner ready I started around 5 pm. First step was to preheat the oven for the fries and then I started to prepare the ground beef in a sauce pan.

While it was cooking, I shredded the cabbage and carrots.

Once the meat was cooked through, I then added in Hunt’s Original Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce and stirred. Next, I added in the rest of the ingredients to make the Cole Slaw.

To recreate my Cole Slaw Recipe:

Combine 4 cups of Shredded Cabbage with a 1/2 cup of Shredded Carrots, 6 Tablespoons of Mayonnaise, 1 Teaspoon of Mustard, and an 1/8 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder. Refrigerate until to ready to serve.

Then, I heated the Manwich Sloppy Joe all the way through, and finally put the fries in the oven to cook. About that time, Hubby walked in the door and I moved the meat to the warm setting.

I told him, “Once the timer goes off, the fries will be ready and you can eat dinner.  FYI, the Cole Slaw is in the fridge.” My daughter and I then headed out to practice.

After ballet, we came home and had our dinner. Little Miss and I were definitely ready to eat and it was so nice to have it ready to go.

Personally, I like to put Cole Slaw on top of my Sloppy Joe and my daughter had it the traditional way. Needless to say it was YUMMY and we cleaned off our plates.

I love to put my cole slaw on top of our bean burgers when I fix them so I agree that makes a sandwich yummy. It is always great to have a fast yet filling dinner idea that everyone loves. Glad this worked out so well for you and your family.

You know when the kiddos have an empty plate at the end that the recipe was a good call. Your model is adorable too, by the way. :)

I love Sloppy Joes. Your post is great for two reasons. I love your actual recipe, and because I read the title wrong, it gave me an idea for another recipe. Sloppy Joe fries!

In all my years I have yet to try Manwich or eat sloppy joes---quess my Mom wasn't into it. Strangely enough I have a sneaking suspicion that I would really love them. I am definitely going to have to try this!
