Cheesy Garlic Buns! An Easy Side for Dinner!

Cheesy Garlic Buns! An Easy Side for Dinner!

I was making a sausage and vegetable dish the other night and wanted a bread to go on the side.

Initially I had bought hot dog buns to serve the sausage in, but I made a change to the menu and instead turned them into a cheese covered creation.

The kids LOVED the bread!

Cheesy Garlic Buns! An Easy Side for Dinner!

To recreate it, you will need:

– A package of Hot Dog Buns

– Butter

– Garlic powder

– 6 Cheese Italian Fancy Shredded mix

Cheesy Garlic Buns! An Easy Side for Dinner!

Directions:

First preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Then, take the hot dog buns and pull them apart into halves and cut those in half.

Next, thinly spread a little butter on each bun, lightly sprinkle garlic powder on top of that, and finally top each one with the Shredded cheese.

To finish, place the buns into the oven for approximately 10 minutes (checking occasionally) or until the cheese begins to brown.

They were that easy to make, and a great compliment to my Sausage and Veggie Recipe.

Do you make a cheesy garlic bread? What ingredients do you include?

If you try it out, let me know what you think.

We love cheesy garlic bread here, but I've never used hot dog buns. This would be a perfect way to use up leftovers from BBQ's.

We dont usually have hot dogs more than once in a week so I am left with the buns and dont like the way they freeze so this is a perfect solution.

Such a great idea! Never thought to do this and always have leftover buns from picnics. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a delicious way to make little garlic breads. I would pair these with some of my favorite pasta dishes.
