I thought summer would not be as busy as the school year, but I was wrong.
I said to my family, and I quote, “I will not be doing anything for the first couple weeks of summer, all I want to do is hang out in my pajamas one day and just take it easy.”
Well between family functions, traveling, housework, and kids getting sick, I have not had a pajama resting day yet. I may have been in my pajamas, but no resting. 🙂
Now, before I sound like I am complaining, I did manage to carve out a little “Me” time a couple of Sundays ago with Yellow Tail Sangria.
One evening, I just sat down and had a glass once everyone had gone to bed. I added some berries and mandarin oranges and had myself a Sangria Flavored Fruit Salad.
The following Sunday, my hubby got the pool ready for playtime, and while he entertained the kids, I made myself a little Sangria Treat.
This time, I took it out by the pool. While I sat to the side, I watched while everyone played. I sipped my drink and got a little tan.
When the Sangria was all gone, I thought “Whipped cream would just finish this off perfectly!”
I then had myself a Sangria Fruit Dessert.
So while I may not have gotten my resting pajama day, I did have a little “me time”.
Not only did I get a treat, but I got to do it alongside my favorite people.
