I have dogs, a cat, and live in a household with 4 other people. My living room gets A LOT of traffic, and it is an area that my family spends most of our time in.
When we first moved in our home, I made a choice of an area rug that worked out for the short-term, but really did not provide a long-term solution for decorating or function. It was pretty, but large for the room which made it the area look smaller.

Since I have boxers with brown to red-brown hair, I decided to go with the Sweet Nectar. I have used this for a couple of weeks now and this color was an excellent choice because the hair they shed is not such an eye soar.
So why do I like this rug?
First off it is really pretty, I love the cross design. Second, it is a perfect size to pull my living room area together. Third, it is comfortable, feels great under my feet, and my kids and dogs are enjoying laying all over it.
Since it is a neutral color, I can also get new pillows and not worry about the colors clashing.
In addition, when you have an older rug and dogs, it obviously absorbs their odor over time. Replacing my existing rug with the Quatrefoil SmartStrand Carved Rug immediately freshened up my home and made they area smell “NEW”.
