Do you like the combination of Peanut Butter and Chocolate? How about Butterfinger Bars?
If you like all 3, I am happy to report that Nestle Butterfinger Cups has taken all of these and combined them into an AMAZING candy!
My entire family has had an opportunity to sample these, and we have really enjoyed these sweet treats. They make a great snack and are perfect for on the go.
You probably have seen these Peanut Butter Cups featured in a recent “BIG GAME” commercial, and if you are in search of your own look no further than Walmart.
Of course I like to take things up a notch, so I decided to try my hand at creating a dessert with the Peanut Butter Cups. Since chocolate is one of the ingredients, I figured it would pair well with brownies.
In addition, I also like whipped cream so I took all of these items and transformed them into Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Brownie Parfaits!
This is really simple to recreate, and for each parfait you will need 3 Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups, 2 brownies of the same size, and whipped cream. Feel free to use any glassware that you have on hand.
(Tip: I used a box mix for the brownies, and a container of whipped cream.)
To get started, simply cut the brownies with a sharp knife into bite size portions (around the size of a small crouton). Do the same for 2 of the Peanut Butter Cups and cut one in half like a lemon wedge. You can save the other half of the wedge for the next parfait.
(Tip: Put the Peanut Butter Cups in the refrigerator 30 minutes before so they don’t melt as you are cutting them.)
Put around 6 to 8 pieces of brownie in the bottom of the glass and then put a scoop of whipped cream on top.
Next, add chopped Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups and then repeat with the whipped cream.
Add another layer of brownies, and again repeat with the whipped cream and Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups.
When you are finished, carefully cut a small slit in the half peanut butter cup and set that on the side of the glass. Serve immediately, or place into the refrigerator until ready to serve.
This dish would be perfect for a party, romantic evening, or after dinner dessert. It is fun to share or eat alone. My son and I actually split one, and my husband had one all to himself. He shook his head up and down for a YES and said, “This is good!”.
Have you already picked up your own package of Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups? Did you eat it alone, or have you also tried it out in a dessert?
