Thanks to Benjamin Moore and BzzAgent , I was sent a coupon for a FREE Gallon of Aura Waterborne Interior Paint and given a color swatch so I could try out the product in my home. However, before I could even get started, I first had to make the important decision of which room I wanted to transform, and which color I would pick.
The Color Swatch with my Newly Covered Chair
I have an indoor/ outdoor room painted a color of yellow that I was not that fond of, and it also had wood accents that were outdated. This space is used for entertaining and I would like it to look nice, so I decided this would be the perfect spot to make the improvement to.
In regards to choosing a color, this room is the access area to my pool and backyard, so I wanted to incorporate a little of the outside into the color. In addition, I had recently recovered chairs and wanted to match the walls to one of the colors in the fabric. CLICK HERE–>My 4 Chairs Got a Quick Makeover with Fabric

After looking at the recovered chairs and the swatch, I decided a light green would be a good fit in this area. I picked the Grasshopper AF-415 color for the paint and then headed over to my local Ace Hardware Store called Crowder Bros to pick up a gallon in the Matte Finish.
I even got the kids involved.
I prepped my room with newspaper and tape, and then got started. The Aura paint went on really easy, filled in well, and had a decent smell. I was pleased at how mild the odor was and even allowed my kids to help me paint. I think what excited me the most was how quickly it dried. And, since the paint and primer are together, I did not have to do 2 coats on the main wall, just a little touch up. As for the wood accents, I did have to do 2 coats.

At first, I was a little surprised at the price of the Aura Paint since it is was over $60 a gallon, however now that I know what it can do, I would definitely use it in a baby’s or child’s room, or to paint a wood finish.
