I am always trying to experiment with recipes especially when it means introducing healthy foods to my kids.
As part of the recent Kashi Moms Meet Event I participated in, I attended a webinar about Healthy Foods for kids. One of the things that the moderator raved about were Kale Chips.
3 ingredients needed to make the Kale Chips Recipe.
So after the event, I went and found a recipe for them CLICK HERE–>Kale Chips Recipe. Of course I had to experiment, and I made 2 batches. The first batch, I followed the directions exactly. The second batch, I added garlic powder, and grated parmesan cheese. My daughter commented that the second batch tasted better.
Before they went in the oven.
Here are my 4 Tips when making these:
- Make sure you completely pat them dry before you place them in the oven.
- Just make enough to eat because they don’t store well, and fresh Kale keeps in the Frig for a couple days so you can always make more.
- You know they are ready when they are light, crispy, and they shrink up.
- Be ready to eat them immediately because they hydrate after rather quickly.
I was really surprised, but my kids loved these and just kept wanting to eat them. If you try the recipe, let me know what you think.
