My kids and I were sent products from the Backyard Safari Outfitters Line to review here on At Home Moma. All I can say is, that I was just as excited as my son was when this package came in mail.
We have been talking about going camping as a family and my husband had received camping supplies for Christmas so this was already on my son’s mind. When my son knew we would be receiving this set, he was definitely ready to go on an adventure in our backyard.
The items I received to review included the Base Camp Shelter, Camouflage, Hiking Stick, Lazer Light Bug Vacuum, and a Backyard Safari Outfitters Essential Cargo Vest. To see a list of the entire line visit Backyard Safari Outfitters.
And of course my son asked if he could stay outside at night in the Base Camp Shelter. I told him that I was not quite ready for that yet.

I really like this line of toys because most of the items come with a Pop-Up Field Guide that gives the kiddos a mission or missions to accomplish, plus they also include a badge that you can put on the Cargo Vest. This way your child feels a sense of accomplishment once they try out the toy, complete the mission, and have their badge put on.
My son really enjoyed the Lazer Light Bug Vacuum because he would pick up pots, vacuum up the bugs under them, and then look at them with the built-in magnifier. I do want to mention that the Bug Vacuum does get dirt in it, and the dirt will get kicked up as it runs. And because of this, make sure the kids don’t put their eyes to close to the vacuum. Plus, you will want to make sure that the vacuum is cleaned out before you bring it in the house. Otherwise you will have a mess.
