As you can tell, my daughter was very excited to get this! She already has Dora toys that she plays with, so she was already familiar with the character. She always says “Where’s Boots?” when she sees Dora.
Of course, my son was like, “Oh, that is for a girl”, but after my daughter put the set down, he picked it up and started putting the pieces together.
This toy is great for hand/eye coordination because it is a buildable playset. I showed my daughter how to put the gazebo together and to add the various parts; she immediately caught on. She really liked changing Dora in and out of the two skirts that came with the set. All she had to do was pull the bottom portion of Dora off, change out the skirts, and then put the bottom portion of Dora back on.
