Here I am trying out the new make-up.
I was sent L’Oréal Paris’ One Sweep Eye Shadow and Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara to try out as part of a BzzAgent Campaign.
The 2 items sent were determined to be the best mix of palettes based on my eye color, which is Hazel.
I was really impressed with the One Sweep Eye Shadow. I received Color 509 for green eyes.
This is such a neat concept, because personally trying to apply 3 shades of color on my eye to achieve the desired effect, has always been difficult for me.
I always think that I am doing it wrong, or it looks tacky. Most of the time, I end up with one color on my eye because I feel like it doesn’t look right otherwise. Well, with this product, it takes the guess work out of eye shadow.
It is so easy to apply. You simply sweep the applicator across the colors and then sweep it across your eye. You may have to smooth out the top color a little bit to blend it in.

I like the concept of the Double Extend Eye Illuminator Mascara, however, I do wish the results were a little more dramatic. I received the Black with Bronze for Green/ Hazel Eyes.
How this product works, is you apply it in two steps. Step 1 The Basecoat, and then Step 2 Illuminating Topcoat.
The black mascara basecoat isn’t as heavy as I would like, it just slightly darkens the lashes. I would also like it if the Illuminating Topcoat was a little thicker as well. You can see the bronze sparkles once you apply it, but it is pretty light.
I wore this with the One Sweep Eye Shadow, but I also decided to try it with a shadow that had more sparkle in it. I think by doing that, I achieved more of the effect I was looking for. Also, from trial and error on my part, I would suggest putting on your powder first before the Mascara, otherwise it mutes the effect of the sparkles.
