So imagine having 3 kids in the Fall and Winter and trying to book movie tickets. There is a high probability that one of them is going to get a cold or virus, which means ultimately cancelling plans and being out the money we spent. This actually happened to me this week, but thanks to Fandango I was able to have Worry-Free Movie Tickets and get a refund!
There is no catch to this either. If you find yourself in a similar situation, simply go on-line at least 2 hours before the film, login in, and go to your purchase. After that, click on the option that you can not make it. This is the method typically used for credit cards and gift cards.
I bought my tickets as a Fandango VIP member and was able to get my transaction refunded to my account. When I am ready to go to the movies again, I can simply apply a credit (which doesn’t expire) to another show. FYI, I had used 2 different gift cards so I had to call the 1800 customer service number, but in about 3 minutes I received my refund.
