I have to say that although we have made lots of progress when it comes to potty training, my third child has been the most stubborn in making the final commitment.
Between leaking through on the car seat, peeing on various beds, and a hilarious incident at a theme park a while back, we have had our share of potty mishaps. Because of this, I decided it was time to pull in reinforcements AKA my two older children to help with Potty Training.
My little guy has always learned from observation, and having 2 older siblings around means that he has been open to trying new things. Plus they all love each other, so what is good for one is always a plus when they all benefit.
I have already been using rewards for Potty Training, however I decided to extend the offer to BIG Bother and SISTER. If they get their brother to go, well they get to benefit from the reward as well.
I actually needed to pick up more Pull-Ups, so my family headed up to our local Walmart Neighborhood Market to shop. As you can see from the reaction from my Little Guys face, there are so many great baby and toddler related items in store!
Since it is also summertime, I decided to pick up some freezer pops that would make an excellent reward for Potty Training. Candy and stickers are a favorite as well, so they had plenty of options.
The kids picked out the Pull-Ups together as well as the fun Disney themed Huggies Wipes. My youngest was all about Finding Dory. From July 24th through August 6th be sure to PRINT a Coupon for $0.50 off Huggies Wipes!
I then explained to my older kids that I needed their help in getting their brother to go to the bathroom, and they all would get a reward if he went. My youngest was saying to them, “Do you want a lollipop too? I’ll go to the bathroom, and then you, and we all can get a treat!”
There has been a lot of Potty Announcements going on lately, and I am hoping their encouragement will get him get 100% potty trained.
To commemorate how much he looks up to them, and to remind them to also encourage him to go, I also made up #1 Sibling Printables. You can print them in the 8 X 10 setting and grab them here: #1 Sister Printable and #1 Brother Printable.
Are you on your own Potty Training journey? Be sure to grab and print this $2.00 off Pull-Ups and GoodNites Coupon and head over to your Walmart Neighborhood Market to shop for all your baby and toddler related needs! Coupon available from July 24th through August 6th.
Eventually these rewards for Potty will go away, but in the meantime we are all having fun with it. I hope you find this post helpful and for more tips visit our Potty Training Journey at Fun Learning Life.
