A special thank you goes out to Walt Disney Studios for providing this information, photos, as well as the invitation to THE JUNGLE BOOK Premiere and event.
When I received an invitation to attend The Jungle Book Red Carpet Premiere, so many thoughts and emotions immediately went through my mind.

For me, it was first excitement because I would be heading to Los Angeles to be in the presence of celebrities.
Then, I started to wonder about what would happen, what would it look like in person, and what goes on at an After Party?
Finally I had a sense of panic come over me, and I started to question, “What am I going to wear?”
Well I can say, that this experience was something truly to be ecstatic about and not only was I able to resolve my dress concerns, but I had an awesome time at the event.
To give you a sense of what happened at The Jungle Book Red Carpet Premiere, first I have to start at the beginning.
Our group began in an area across the street where the Oscars are located, and we took a photo opportunity on the stairs.

Next stop was the entrance of the Red Carpet, where we each were issued a ticket into the theatre as well as provided a wrist band to show we were part of the VIP group.
I then started to walk, and of course took my time because I wanted to absorb it all in. In addition, I wanted to get a good photo of myself, so I snapped lots of photos with a buddy.

All around, there was Jungle Themed decor and of course celebrities walking by.
Neel Sethi was off to the side signing autographs in the midst of fans and as I looked behind me I saw Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) and his children. Ken Marino (Marry Me) and his family also headed towards the theatre.

Then there was the main area where the stars of the film were being interviewed by the press.
Our group actually passed behind it and then came out on the other side.

Behind me, the photographers were taking photos of Lupita Nyong’o as well other cast members including Giancarlo Esposito, Sir Ben Kingsley, Neel Sethi, Ritesh Rajan, and the Director Jon Favreau.
Shortly there after, a couple of the ladies in our group ran into Perez Hilton and grabbed a selfie with him.

Up above was the Marquee with The Jungle Book illuminating bright and our group proceeded to pass underneath and head into the El Capitan Theatre.
First stop at the Box Office was to check in cellphones, and then inside to pick up complimentary drinks and popcorn. As I turned around my friend Bert from First Time Mom was signalling at me to look next to her.
She had run into Katherine McNamara from Shadowhunters. Ironically we had been discussing how we liked this show on FREEFORM and there she was, the star of the show.
Katherine was so taken by our appreciation of the series and was gracious enough to chat for a few minutes. That was such a surreal moment.

It was then time to take a seat and to my surprise the cast of Disney Channel’s “Stuck in the Middle” was sitting directly in front of me. This included Ariana Greenblat and Malachi Barton pictured below.
While our group waited for the 3D film to begin, I got an opportunity to check out the El Capitan Decor made tropical with The Jungle Book Decorations. I also enjoyed listening to a band performing songs from the Original film.

After the screening, it was time to head over to the After Party. There I could really get up close with celebrities.
Bill Bellamy walked by as well as Marsai Martin of Blackish and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons of Modern Family.
The food looked amazing, and included Turkey legs, Churros, and some how I missed getting a Dole Whip. Plus there were family crafts as well as interactive electronics to immerse you in scenes from the film.
This is where I got to take my first official After Party photo with Jason Winston George of Grey’s Anatomy. He was so nice and happy to oblige.
I also got to try out one of the interactive machines and made a silly GIF with a couple other blogging buddies!
Of course the most memorable moment of the night was chatting with Neel Sethi’s sister and snapping a photo alongside the star of the film. My kiddos thought this was so amazing and so did I.
About The Jungle Book:
Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film “The Jungle Book”, this all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves.
But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.
Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray).
Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.
The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela.
The Jungle Book is in theaters April 15 in 3D, RealD and IMAX 3D! For more information about the film, check out Disney.com/thejunglebook, also follow along on Facebook at facebook.com/DisneyJungleBook, and Twitter twitter.com/
