A special thank you goes out to Disney for providing my family with this DVD and sponsoring the Digital Download giveaway. Opinions expressed are that of my own.
Back in March, I took my daughter to see Disney Cinderella in the movie theater. I decided to make it a mother daughter activity and we did our nails, got t-shirts, and we absolutely loved the film.
However I am pretty certain that my 9 year old son really wanted to see it, and when he heard that movie was coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD, he asked if we could go get it. Well I just so happened to be able to secure a copy for review and he was thrilled.
There was one condition though, after he watched it I wanted him to give me his thoughts on the film. I explained to do it like a book report.
I also wanted him to tell me 5 Ways That He Could Be Kind, since one of the central themes was “Have Courage and be Kind to others”. He agreed and proceeded to view it on Disney Movies Anywhere with his siblings.
Well here is his review in his own words…
“I liked it and I think this movie is good for both boys and girls. You can learn something from it, like if people are being mean, you should still be nice. Sometimes there are funny parts and sad parts. I really liked when the Fairy God Mother said, “I am your Hairy Dog Father”, when the Pumpkin made the room explode, and when the carriage changed back into a pumpkin.
The things that made me sad were when Cinderella’s Mom dies, her Dad dies, and when the stepmom and sisters were being mean to her. This is what I would like to say about the movie Cinderella.”
(I think he also enjoyed Frozen Fever as well.)
As for 5 Ways To Be Kind, here are his ideas:
-Help your Mom with the laundry.
-Do what is right.
-Be nice to people.
-Help your younger brother or sister.
-Volunteer for things that help people.
Have you seen the film yet? What was your family’s thoughts on Disney Cinderella?
