A special thank you to goes to Choice Hotels and the Comfort Inn on International Drive in Orlando for hosting my family during our stay. Opinions expressed are that of my own.
If you are looking for a location to stay at in Orlando that is close to the Interstate, near area attractions, and provides an awesome breakfast buffet, then you will want to check out the Comfort Inn on International Drive.
Right off of I-4, this hotel is almost across from the new I-Drive 360 complex featuring the Orlando Eye, Sea Life Aquarium, and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. It is also around 2 miles from Universal Studios, 4 Miles away from SeaWorld, and 9 Miles away from Disney World.
First impressions of this hotel was the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the location was quiet considering how close it was to the interstate and International drive, and the room and lobby was very clean.
FYI, this location has a pool, is pet friendly, and offers free WIFI as well as 2 computers available in the lobby.
My 3 kids and I stayed in a room with 2 queen size beds and sofabed. The decor was trendy and there was a coffee maker in the room, microwave, refrigerator, and flat screen TV. It was fully stocked with towels, toiletries, and items for the coffee maker.
We slept comfortably in the room and rates at the Comfort Inn on International Drive in Orlando currently start at $90 a night and our room is priced at $105 (plus applicable tax).
Now since this hotel does allow smoking in select rooms, you can tell when you enter the hallway of the second floor. I could see that they attempt to eliminate the smell, but of course there is some indication of it.
There was also renovation going on around the hotel as well as inside, so it looks like they try to keep this location and surrounding areas in good order.
We did not get an opportunity to swim in the pool at the Comfort Inn on International Drive in Orlando because of rain, but as you can see by the photo it is maintained and updated.
In my opinion most individuals would probably use this swimming spot after a day exploring the parks or at night time. I did see someone exercising in it first thing in the am.
Of course an impressive aspect about this hotel is the FREE Breakfast Buffet. They keep this amenity fully stocked during its hours of operation and they even have a staff to maintain it.
There is a cereal bar, waffle making station, juice dispenser, coffee, as well as typical items like eggs, omelettes, breakfast meats, and pastries. They even had a refrigerated section with yogurt.
My kiddos totally fell in love with this breakfast and my son became a waffle making expert. When it was check out day, they did not want to leave because of all the yummy food. Plus, I think my kids enjoyed bunking together and my daughter loved sleeping on the pull out bed.
What amenities do you look for when staying at a hotel?

Based on the rates, amenities, and location, I think this would be a good hotel to drop off your luggage, fill your belly in the am, and then enjoy the many local sights to be scene in the Orlando area.
