Back in March, I had announced that I was invited by Disney to a very special Disneynature & All Star Vacation Homes hosted event Tuesday, April 14th – Sunday, April 19th in Orlando, FL.
Well the event is next week and as promised here are a few of the exciting items that will be on our itinerary.
Upon arrival, myself and a group of 24 other bloggers will be checking in at a luxury home courtesy of All Star Vacation Homes.
To see our accommodations, be sure to follow the hashtag #AllStarVacationHomes.
Our next stop will then be an advanced screening of Disneynature Monkey Kingdom, followed by dinner at Downtown Disney.
During the next 2 days of our trip, we will be visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom and embarking on a variety of adventures.
Some of these activities include the Backstage Tales Tour, Wilderness Explorers Guide, and the Wild Africa Trek.
In addition, we will be dining in the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Resort Area at the restaurant called Sanaa.
During our lunch, we will be conducting interviews with Greg Peccie, DAKL Animal Operations Manager as well as Dr. M Sanjayan, Disneynature Ambassador.
On the 4th day of the event, we will be visiting Epcot. There our group will be checking out the “Living Seas’ Exhibit, exploring the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and grabbing a sneak peek of the new film TOMORROWLAND!
I am super excited to check out all the characters and topiary displays, and I will definitely be getting a photo of Elsa and Anna for my daughter. Not to mention, I am looking forward to seeing the Monkey Kingdom Sand Sculpture and sampling the food at the Outdoor Kitchens.
There will be plenty of other activities going on during this event and you can keep up to date with our group by following the hashtags #MonkeyKingdomEvent #AllStarVacationHomes and #DisneySide.
About Disneynature Monkey Kingdom:
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities—and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya’s whole family retreats, and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to uncover untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.
Featuring a rich variety of characters, including a mischievous mongoose, simple-minded langur monkeys, predatory leopards and monitor lizards, “Monkey Kingdom” is narrated by Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), directed by Mark Linfield (“Chimpanzee,” “Earth”) and co-directed by Alastair Fothergill (“Chimpanzee,” “Bears”). With music from award-winning composer Harry Gregson-Williams (“The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” “Shrek” movies).
Monkey Kingdom hits theaters April 17! For more information about the film and the conservation program, go to nature.disney.com/monkey-kingdom.
