I was provided a Sofia the First DVD along with Sofia merchandise to facilitate this post, opinions expressed are that of my own.
If you have a preschooler then your family will enjoy Sofia the First The Floating Palace DVD!
Sofia the First is the #1 TV series with Girls ages 2-5* and is shown daily on Disney Junior. It features Disney’s first little girl princess, who becomes royalty after her mother marries the king. Each episode generally has some sort of adventure and through this, Sofia learns how to adjust to royal life.
Famous voices in this series include Ariel Winter (ABC TV’s “Modern Family”) as Sofia; Sara Ramirez (ABC TVs “Grey’s Anatomy”) as Queen Miranda; Wayne Brady (TV’s “Let’s Make A Deal”) as Clover; and Tim Gunn (TV’s “Project Runway”) as Baileywick. My daughter happens to be a huge fan of Sofia and I guess you could imagine her excitement when she found out that she was getting a copy of the newest movie adventure The Floating Palace. What got her even more excited were the items that came along with the DVD.
If you are wanting to purchase these items for your little princess, visit disneystore.com/sofia-the-first.
Straight from the cover: After Sofia helps a little mermaid named Oona, Sofia’s amulet grants her the power to transform into a mermaid and visit her new friend’s secret underwater kingdom. But when Cedric (disguised as a sea monster) plots to steal Oona’s enchanted Mermaid Comb, danger surfaces for both worlds. With a little help from special guest, Princess Ariel, Sofia embarks on an adventure to rescue Oona.
This DVD runs for 118 minutes, has 3 additional episodes including Tri-Kingdom Picnic, Finding Clover, and Make Way For Miss Nettle. It also has 2 special fabric friendship bracelets.
We had already seen The Floating Palace on TV and really enjoyed it. Apparently we weren’t the only ones, because the November 24, 2013 premiere of “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace” on TV became the #2 telecast in cable TV history in for Kids 2-5 and Girls 2-5. **

My daughter is really enjoying her Sofia items and had a great time trying them out in the pool. She took her water bottle at school and even brought her new towel to a pool party.
We have also watched the DVD multiple times already and I am sure we will be watching it many times more.
