If you are ever in a situation where you are giving a gift card, this just might come in handy.
Over the holidays I had purchased a couple of cards that did not come with decorative sleeves and I wanted to dress them up a bit. I did a little brainstorming and thought I would make my hubby a gift card holder decoration.
I did make him a decoration holder, but I also wanted to put one into a holiday card.
I had seen聽decorative photo corners used in scrap booking and thought, “This should work for a Gift Card as well!”.
So here is the quick fix:
All you need is decorative photo corners which can be found in the scrap booking area of Michaels (use a coupon). These聽come in various colors like gold, silver, and black. 聽I went with the silver.
I simply figured out where I wanted to gift card to lay, and put photo corners on each end. 聽I then laid this directly inside the card. This trick worked out great and I’m thinking, “Why didn’t I figure this out sooner?”. FYI, make sure you indicate the card value somewhere. 馃檪
Do you use anything to dress up your gift cards? 聽Any special tricks you want to share?
In the future even if I have a cover from the issuer, I am going to do this. It is so nice to not have the gift move around, or fall out when the card is opened. I also think this would work well when sending school photos to relatives, we almost lost a few in holiday cards because they fell to the bottom and got left in the envelope.
If you try this out, let me know how it goes!
