Thanks to Nuby, I was sent a package of 2 Natural Touch SoftFlex Pacifiers to try out and review with my newborn here on Frugal and Fun Mom.
This is my first time really nursing a baby, so I am still trying to get the hang of it.
I have noticed that my son has trouble phasing in and out of sleep and he nurses to get relaxed. Now obviously, I can’t nurse him 24 hours a day, so I have been using a pacifier to help him phase into sleep. This is still pretty involved, since he has difficulty keeping in the pacifier we were furnished from the hospital, and he wakes right back up every time it falls out.
Nuby’s Natural Touch SoftFlex Pacifier features an orthodontic shaped baglet that flexes and stretches to imitate the motion created during breastfeeding. It promotes the natural sucking action of a baby and also features teething nubs around the base of the baglet, which massage and soothe sore gums. SoftFlex pacifiers also come with a reusable case to keep them clean. Source Nuby.
Since I have made the switch to the Natural Touch SoftFlex Pacifier, my son is having an easier time keeping it in, which gives me a break and lets him sleep longer. I feel good about the fact that it does imitate the motion created during breastfeeding. I also have piece of mind since I have not noticed any confusion from switching from breast to this pacifier.
