Fun Times with Moon Dough!
My kids and I were given the opportunity to try out and review a children’s molding toy called Moon Dough.
Moon Dough is a “magical” molding dough that never dries out, is hypoallergenic, and wheat free. It is also odor free and has a strong consistency that easily pops out from molds. This is a new product for us, but apparently they have a new formula that makes the product less crumbly and it comes in brighter and more vibrant colors.
Moon Dough is intended for kids ages 3 and up and comes in a variety of kits that include Push N’ Pop Oceans Pals, Push N’ Pop Breakfast, and the Snack Shop. For other available kits, visit Moon Dough Products.
The kit we tried was the Moon Dough Push N’ Pop Breakfast. Its suggested retail is $9.99.
Both my kids enjoyed playing with this product, and my son’s main comment was “You mean we can leave this out and it won’t dry up?”. I said, “Yes! However honey, you still have to clean it up”.
Here is my 5 year old playing with the Moon Dough.
It just so happens that one of my biggest complaints about other doughs is that they do dry out rather quickly, sometimes even as you are using them.
What I really liked about this product is how easy it is to push down the molds and pop out the designs. Since the Moon Dough is not wet, it doesn’t tend to stick to the shapes and is easier for my almost 3 year old to remove from the molds.
Here is a video of my “almost 3 year old” daughter playing with the Moon Dough.
Moon Dough is available for purchase at retailers such as Toys “R” Us, Target, Walmart, and many more. For additional locations, visit their Store Locator at Moon Dough Store Locator.
