The way the Lullabelly product works is it plugs into any portable music player (MP3, iPad) and includes a sound splitter and earphones so mom and dad can listen as well. The expectant mom then puts the belt on and the baby will hear the music and so will the parent. You also have the option of just playing the music for the baby. Lullabelly come in 5 colors: Sky Blue, Apple Green, Princess Pink, Chocolate Brown/Mint, and Sunshine Yellow.
I tried the product out and used my MP3 player with it. I was able to use the splicer to hear the music in the parents headphones, and I could hear the music through the belt. FYI, I did have to play with the splicer to get it to work, because if I pushed it all the way into the MP3 player it did not connect so I pop it out slightly and once I did, it made the connection to work.
Personally I think this would make a great gift for a soon to be mom. I played classical music for my children in a DVD player while they were in utero, and think this is just another option to deliver the music to stimulate, and connect with your baby in a comfortable way.
