Recently I was sent a String Free, Reusable and Portable dental floss called the BrytonPick, to try and review here on At Home Moma.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but as a busy mom surprisingly I’m good with the brushing and even visiting the dentist, but when it comes to flossing I am terrible. I find it to be uncomfortable, I tend to forget to do it, and when I remember, I just don’t have the time. (I always get in trouble when I go to the dentist)
I was interested to see if this product would make it easier.
According to the company, BrytonPick, the product is for people on-the-go or those who are unable to floss (or hate flossing) and it is great for people wearing braces or Invisalign.
The product was designed, developed and tested by dental professionals. It consists of a flexible stainless steel and plastic holder. The stainless steel is formed into blunt cleaning edges that are as thin as the finest floss (0.0019″). It is re-usable up to 30 days (germ-resistant stainless steel) and can be cleansed with a napkin or water.
The BrytonPick is 100% produced in USA at FDA registered facilities (QS-9000 / ISO9001 Certified)
Source, About Bryton Pick
I used the product, and found it fairly easy to use on my front teeth, and I could see the debris come out as I moved it between each tooth. It was a little harder to use on the back teeth, since the spacing is tighter, but I also have the same problem with regular floss.
They do recommend however, that the first time you use this product, to do it right after eating in front of the mirror so you can see the impact. Plus, it may take a couple times to get the hang of it, and the Stainless Steel edges will conform the the crevasses of your teeth.
There is a carrying case to accompany this, which would be great to keep handy in your purse or car. That way,the BrytonPick would be easily accessible and you can floss as you go.
If you are looking for an alternative to regular flossing, or are interested in learning more about this product check out their website at www.brytonpick.com . Plus, check out their page for local retailers of the product.
As always, check with your dentist or health-care professional before you start any type of new treatment, and definitely read the directions on the package.
