One of my Mommy friends Theresa, told her sister Tina (owner of Pumpkin Patch Creations) about At Home Moma and what’s been going on here at the blog. Through some networking, we became fans of one another’s Facebook pages, and after a little discussion, it was decided that I would review one of her designer bibs.
I was thrilled when Theresa delivered the Minky and Cotton combo bib to me last week. I am a big fan of Vera Bradley designs, and the bib I was given to review, totally reminded me of that style. I was immediately drawn to the versatility of this hand made design due to the Side-snapping, and the combo of solid and patterned material. According to Tina, Pumpkin Patch Creations bibs are sewn and then turned and top stitched for durability. Kamsnaps plastic snaps are used, and she carries a variety of colors in the snaps to coordinate with the fabrics. They are also made to “grow with your child”, so they are sewn with multiple snaps whereby, they last longer.
The size of this bib is perfect for a messy little one because it gives complete coverage. I wish I would have had more bibs like this when my guys were smaller, I could have saved a lot more outfits. Plus, the Minky material is really soft, so if you wanted to take your little ones shirt off during dinner, you would feel confident to know that the material up against your child’s skin was soft and comfortable. The material does hold up, because I have already washed the bib and it still looks fine. The Minky and Cotton bib retails at $9.00.
Now a little bit about Tina and Pumpkin Patch Creations:
Tina, mother of 3, decided to make her own cloth diapers while she was pregnant with her youngest child . She started out using her grandmother’s old 1970’s Kenmore and eventually received a new sewing machine as a shower gift from her aunt and cousins. Sewing quickly became her obsession. From diapers she moved onto blankets, embellishing burp cloths, then onto bibs. Through popular demand of her friends, she started selling the items she was making, and from this Pumpkin Patch Creations was born. Everything Tina creates is handmade with care and is something her own family can use. Looking for a special item? She loves making custom orders.
Thanks to Tina at Pumpkin Patch Creations, one lucky At Home Moma reader will receive a bib of their choice, a combination of fleece, flannel, cotton, with either corduroy, minky or satin a $9.00 value. This giveaway will end Friday October 1st, 2010 at 11:59am after which a winner will be chosen via Random.org.
